Built for Team Working

The DDS-CAD platform was developed with collaborative team working as its primary design criteria. Each of the DDS-CAD solutions is built on top of a common 3D CAD modelling engine, and shares the same project database. Each storey of the project can be worked on independently in each application, allowing true multi-user access to the model. The building modeller is shared by all applications. The model used in DDS-CAD Building Services can be imported directly from IFC compatible architectural CAD packages, or created quickly with reference to 2D drawings if this is all that is available. The visualisation, co-ordination and collaboration tools are also common for all applications.
